Recruitment Process Outsourcing emerged early this century and the industry has been growing rapidly. The recent development in the economy as well as in the recruitment industry is one of the main drivers of this growth. At the same time, the development of markets across the globe has been uneven. Generally speaking, the US and UK recruitment markets are ahead, while the rest of the
world is following. One of the markets that always seems to be both the next frontier as well as an emerging market in continental Europe. This is the market that we’re trying to crack in this report.

RPO industry in Europe

Intelligence Group, in collaboration with ToTalent and Djaja Ottenhof, has conducted research on the RPO industry in Europe. The research report answers the following four questions:

  1. Does the actual data of RPO businesses in Europe match the rhetoric?
  2. What countries within Europe are leading, and which are the laggards?
  3. What is the future of the RPO model in Europe?
  4. How do developments in talent acquisition itself influence RPO?

The analysis consists of three stages. In the first part of this report, we will look at data from European business registries. In the second part, we discuss the views from various outside experts with decades of experience in the industry. They identify several trends helping RPO move up the value chain. In the third part, we give the floor to thought leaders working in the industry. These leaders include people from Kelly Services, Hays Talent Solutions, Cielo, IBM, Aegon, Randstad Sourceright and many more. They share their views on RPO, both now and in the future. Here we also hear from a number of leaders with experience in talent acquisition to get the perspective from that side.
