Will you be our new Databricks expert at Intelligence Group?
We at Intelligence Group are looking for an experienced Databricks Engineer Who will join our team. As a pioneer in data-driven recruitment, we are looking for a specialist who not only fulfills our ambition to migrate our entire data pipeline to Databricks, but also has a vision for the future. Think AI integrations, modernization and internationalization of our processes and products. With this role you will not only work on the migration, but also lay the foundation for promising innovations within our company.
What will you do?
- Design and Build: You will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining and optimizing our new Databricks-based data pipeline. Onze current data environment is built around R, Python and a Postgres database.
- Challenge: You will face challenging issues, such as transforming our data pipeline to Databricks, and ensuring scalability and performance. The work requires not only technical expertise, but also strategic insight to shape our data-driven future.
- Migration: You will lead the migration of our existing data pipeline to Databricks, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal downtime.
- Optimization: You continuously improve the performance and scalability of our data pipeline.
- Innovation: You will stay abreast of the latest developments within the Databricks ecosystem and implement innovative solutions.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with our data analysts, developers and other stakeholders to ensure our data is used to its fullest potential.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations within our data processes.
What do we ask of you?
- Positive attitude: A smile, positive energy and the drive to achieve successes together.
- Databricks Expertise: Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Databricks, including in-depth knowledge of Spark and Lakehouse.
- Data engineering skills: You have a strong background in data engineering, including ETL processes, data warehousing and data modeling.
- Programming knowledge: You have mastered programming languages such as Python, SQL or R.
- Cloud experience: You have experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Analytical Ability: Excellent analytical ability and the ability to turn complex data challenges into practical solutions.
- Team Player: You enjoy working together in a team and sharing your knowledge with others.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English.

- A challenging position For a minimum of 32 hours per week.
- These hours are flexible – in consultation of course – in terms of working hours and working from home. The first months you will mainly work at our new office in Rotterdam because of the onboarding, later you can work more from home.
