Top 10 job boards in Belgium: Indeed on top among job-seekers

Indeed is the number 1 job board among active job-seekers in Belgium, according to the Global Talent Acquisition Monitor (GTAM). Among employers and intermediaries, the VDAB, the public employment service of Flanders, was the most used job board. To compare, we have listed the supply and demand of the top 10 most-used job boards. It is remarkable that when comparing the two above-mentioned lists, they differ from one another quite a bit.

Supply Top 10 job boards in Belgium

This ‘Supply Top 10’ indicates which job boards are used most often by job-seekers as they go through their initial job orientation and search. According to our international research, Indeed is the number one job board (37%) among job-seekers in 2019. This top 10 has changed in comparison to the first half of 2019, in which VDAB was the number 1 job board among job-seekers. Also, the Francophone website references.be, was used less in the second half of 2019 and fell out of the top 10 completely.

An important side-note lies in the fact that LinkedIn and Indeed, with a shared usage percentage of 17% among the top 100, are not part of this list due to their inaccessibility with regards to statistics that show the demand.

Demand Top 10 job boards in Belgium

Whereas the list above gives us an idea as to where job-seekers go, the ‘Demand Top 10’ shows the job boards employers and intermediaries use to search for the right personnel. On this demand-side, VDAB (24%) comfortably ranks first. Interestingly, several highly-placed job boards on the supply-side failed to make the top 10 on the demand-side. Other than vdab.be, only jobat.be, leforem.be, randstad.be, and stepstone.be made the cut.

An important side-note lies in the fact that LinkedIn and Indeed are not part of this list due to their inaccessibility with regards to statistics that show the demand.
