Paris popular for starting an international career

Paris is one of the most favorite cities to work in, after London and New York. About 6 million Europeans chose Paris as their favourite city, according to our European research: The Global Talent Acquisition Monitor.

European talents who would like to work in Paris are mainly from southern European countries. We see, for example, that the capital of France is particularly popular with Portuguese, Spanish and Italians. Nevertheless, the majority of Europeans who would like to work in Paris would not want to emigrate for this purpose. But 42% are open to it. In addition, we see that the city is especially popular among men (60%) and Europeans between the ages of 35 and 49.

Why Paris?

In order to attract European talents to Paris, it is useful to know what drives this target group. The main reason to work in Paris is to work for an international company. This reason is more important to this group than the average European. In addition, career opportunities and starting an international career are important reasons. Learning a new language is also more important than average.
