Papastratos, affiliate of Philip Morris International the number 1 most favourite employer in Greece

Holidays are approaching, the mercury in the thermometer is increasing, reason for us to look at the top 10 most favorite employers in Greece this time. A number of companies are often to be found in the top 10. For example, the tech companies Google (number 2), Microsoft (number 8) and Apple (number 9). But also other well-known companies like Lidl (on number 4) and Coca Cola (on number 6). The striking companies in this overview are those of Greek origin with Papastratos at number 1. Other Greek companies in the top 10 are Cosmote and OTE.

The most favorite Greek employers are all big compagnies

Papastratos and Cosmote are both the largest players in their field. Papastrato is an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI) and the largest tobacco producer in Greece. Founded in 1931, working for local and international brands such as Marlboro and Assos. Typical for Papastratos is their unique corporate culture, advanced know-how and international experience of PMI.

Cosmote: affiliate of OTE

The following Greek organization in the top 10 is Cosmote. Cosmote is an affiliate of OTE, which can be found in the top 10 on number 7. Cosmote is the largest telecommunications company in Greece. Their head office is in Athens and they are also active in Albania and Romania.

Besides being the parent company of Cosmote, OTE is the largest telecommunications provider in Southeast Europe. Among other things, OTE offers broadband services, mobile telephony and high-speed data. Like Papastratos, the company was founded in 1931. Originally they were known as AETE; Anonymous Eteria Tilefonias Ellados or "Post, Telegraph and Telephone". Until 1998 they had a monopoly position.
